Folding & Pressing

From flat components to formed parts.

Folding is a key part of turning laser-cut sheet and plate into finished fabrication components. Keeping forming in-house allows parts to move directly from cutting into the next production stage.

Our CNC-controlled press brake and tooling range support repeatable bends across mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, subject to material grade, thickness, bend length and geometry.

Send the drawing with material, thickness, bend angle, critical radius and quantity so we can confirm suitability before quoting.
Folding Capacity

Material and bend-length capability.

Longer bends are generally available on thinner material, while heavier plate is subject to reduced length and geometry.

Mild Steel

General fabrication & production

Up to 3 mmUp to 3.2 m
6 mmUp to 2.4 m
8–12 mmLimited lengths
Stainless Steel

Precision formed components

Up to 3 mmUp to 3.2 m
6 mmUp to 2.0 m
8–12 mmLimited lengths
Aluminium

Lightweight folded components

Up to 5 mmUp to 3.0 m
8 mmUp to 1.5 m
10–12 mmLimited lengths
Aluminium above 5 mm should be reviewed carefully for grade and bend suitability, as some grades are more prone to cracking during forming.
Tooling

Multiple tooling options for different bends.

Tool selection depends on material, thickness, bend radius and component geometry.

V-Die Range

Multiple V openings allow us to review a range of bend requirements and material thicknesses.

Punches & Radius Tooling

Different punch profiles and radius tooling can be selected based on the finished bend requirement.

  • Multiple punch profiles
  • Radius tooling for formed components
  • Tool selection based on bend geometry
Why In-House Folding

Cut and form through one production path.

01

Repeatable Bends

CNC control helps maintain consistent bend locations and angles across repeat components.

02

Less Handling

Laser-cut parts can move directly into forming without an extra supplier handover.

03

Better Coordination

Cutting and folding can be considered together before production begins.

From Drawing to Folded Part

A straightforward process.

1

Send Drawings

Provide material, thickness, bend details and quantity.

2

Tooling Review

We assess bend geometry and machine suitability.

3

Fold

Components are formed on the CNC press brake.

4

Next Stage

Parts are prepared for collection, delivery or fabrication.

For Quoting

Give us the bend information upfront.

Clear bend details help us assess tooling and folding suitability accurately.
